The Business Pilot stock function can be used in a number of ways – as a simple stock allocation system for consumables such as trims, screws and silicone or it can be tied to nominal codes and job costings within contracts to deliver super-accurate reporting and help you monitor profitability on every single job.
Lost count of the number of times your fitter has ‘nipped to Screwfix’ in the middle of a job, because they’ve not got enough bits and pieces? With the stock management function, you can monitor what you’ve got, what you need to order and what stock is already assigned to jobs.
Set current stock levels, monitor stock value and set minimum stock levels, so you’re notified ahead of time if the team are going to run out. You can add as many items and different products as you like to the system – it’s completely personalised. And as with all of our grids, you can filter, search and export data as and when you need to.
In the stock system, you can also store supplier details, ready for when you need to order new items. This can be done with individual items, where with the click of a button a form will open pre-populated with all the stock and supplier information. You can also raise a stock order for multiple items if you buy lots of things from one supplier, this works in the same way as creating regular purchase orders in the system.
The Stock function can also be used to assign stock to individual jobs – there’s any easy drop-down menu so you can find what’s in stock and assign whatever quantities you need to a contract in the Business Pilot system.
If the stock you need isn’t available, the system can generate a Stock Assignment Query and notify the relevant people so that in can be ordered in time for the installation – easy peasy!
The Stock function is perfect for customers who have trade counters and want to keep a close eye on their stock levels whilst managing leads, sales and finances.
No more running in the back when a customer calls to see if you’ve got a tube of brown silicone – with a quick search on Business Pilot, you can check stock levels, assign it to the customer and raise their invoice before they even walk through the door!
